Advanced CAE Research, LLC (ACR) was co-founded in 2007 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, by Professor Yijun Liu and Professor Dong Qian of the University of Cincinnati. The main goal of this start-up company is to transfer the CAE related research results from the university to commercial software tools that can benefit the general research communities and industries through further development of the computational methods and computer codes.

ACR has licensed the original research codes of the fast multipole BEM and meshfree methods from the University of Cincinnati for further development and commercialization to meet the demands from industries on large-scale and high fidelity modeling of structural acoustics and dynamics problems. ACR is also working on multi-scale and multi-physics simulation tools for modeling advanced materials, devices and structures based on molecular dynamics, BEM, meshfree and nonlinear finite element methods.
